Accelerating Achievement of National Blue Agenda, CMMAI Coordinates NBAAP Members

The National Blue Agenda Actions Partnership (NBAAP), which was launched a year ago on the margins of the G20 Summit in Bali, supports Indonesia's ambitious Blue Agenda. During its first year of existence, the NBAAP achieved some important results, such as designing and launching sustainable ocean projects in support of Indonesia’s National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN), improving coordination and enhancing complementarity of projects supporting ocean development. The Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment (Marves), which leads the initiative, UN in Indonesia and international development partners reviewed progress made and discussed priorities for 2024. They also discussed the gap analysis undertaken this year to identify through comprehensive mapping areas that still need to be strengthened under RPMJN and under Indonesia’s international commitments.
NBAAP Blue Innovation Forum 2023

The NBAAP Blue Innovation Forum 2023 was held on December 12th, 2023, at Episode Hotel Gading Serpong, Tangerang with the theme "Collaboration in Developing Blue Innovation for Technological Independence and Strengthening Competitiveness". NBAAP Blue Innovation Forum provided a platform to develop and implement innovative technologies, methods, and practices to utilize, manage, and sustainably protect marine resources. This event was opened by remarks from Dr. Vivi Yulaswati, Deputy for Maritime and Natural Resources (Bappenas), Mr. Rahmat Mulianda, Act. Director of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (Bappenas), and Mr. Andreas Hutahean, Act. Assistant Deputy Coordinating Minister for Competitiveness Enhancement for Marine and Fisheries Products (CMMAI). From this event, participants shared updates and information to enrich their knowledge of the Blue Innovation agenda in Indonesia.
Advancing Indonesia's Blue Economy: Insights from the Blue Finance Task Force Meeting

In a recent meeting, the Blue Finance Task Force discussed progress and plans for Indonesia's blue economy. The focus is on sustainable marine projects, aligning with the national goal of balancing economic growth and environmental care in the vast maritime area. Two key priorities emerged: developing policies and frameworks and creating innovative financing methods. Dr. Tonny Wagey highlighted the role of Indonesia's Blue Finance Initiative in reaching the Vision 2045 goal of a 12.5% GDP contribution. Mr. Andi Artha outlined the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries' blue economy approach to address challenges in fisheries and maritime development. The meeting concluded with a call for expansion, collaboration with financial authorities, and integration with other pillars in the coming year.
East Lombok Visited by 70 Participants of the Blue Food Forum

Seventy participants from the Blue Food Forum visited East Lombok, exploring the Southern Region with a particular focus on a visit to Ekas Buana village in the Jerowaru sub-district. The delegation was welcomed by officials, including the Assistant for Economic and Development Affairs, the head of Bappeda (Regional Development Planning Agency), the Head of the Marine and Fisheries Agency, and several other department heads. This visit followed the opening of the forum the previous day by the Acting Governor of West Nusa Tenggara in Mandalika. Acting Regent of East Lombok, H. Muhammad Juaini Taofik, was present at the forum, which attracted not only central and regional government representatives but also participants from academia, NGOs, private sectors, and civil society.
NBAAP Blue Health Task Force Southwest Papua Field Trip

The NBAAP Blue Health Task Force recently went on a field trip to Southwest Papua, Indonesia, focusing on improving the health of the ocean. The main goal was to work together to make the marine ecosystem in Indonesia better. They talked about how to take care of the ocean and use its resources wisely.
During the trip, they discussed important things like finding areas that need special care, encouraging fishing practices that won't harm the ocean, and making good plans to manage everything well. The group wants to make sure they use both science and the help of local communities to make sure the ocean stays healthy in the long run. Overall, they're dedicated to making positive changes for the well-being of the ocean in Southwest Papua and all of Indonesia.
Sekretariat Nasional SDGs Sebut Ada Potensi Besar Blue Economy di Indonesia pada Side Event High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) 2023

Kementerian PPN/Bappenas melalui Sekretariat Nasional SDGs turut berpartisipasi pada side event dengan dengan tema “Blue Economy as an accelerator of sustainable recovery and SDGs” yang diselenggarakan oleh Perutusan Tetap Republik Timor Leste untuk PBB pada High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF) 2023 yang berlangsung pada Selasa, 11 Juli 2023 di New York, Amerika Serikat.
Yanuar Nugroho, selaku Koordinator Tim Ahli Seknas SDGs, Kementerian PPN/Bappenas yang menjadi panelis dalam agenda tersebut menyampaikan Blue Economy sebagai akselerator sustainable recovery dan SDGs. Dalam paparannya, Yanuar menyampaikan potensi dari Blue Economy Indonesia yang berada di beberapa sektor, seperti ekspor perikanan, tambang, energi terbarukan, dan ekosistem pantai.
Kenalkan NBAAP ke AIS Forum, Pemerintah Indonesia Pertegas Pelaksanaan Agenda Biru

Marves - Bali, Pemerintah Indonesia berkomitmen menjadi pemimpin dalam program Blue Agenda (agenda biru/kelautan), namun dibutuhkan kolaborasi bersama para pemangku kepentingan untuk dapat mewujudkan komitmen itu. Hal tersebut disampaikan oleh Plt. Deputi Bidang Koordinasi Sumber Daya Maritim Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi (Kemenko Marves), M. Firman Hidayat, pada Pertemuan Tingkat Menteri Archipelagic and Island States (AIS) Forum di Bali (Selasa,06-12-2022).
“Pemerintah Indonesia dengan PBB bersama mitra pembangunan telah menyusun National Blue Agenda Actions Partnership (NBAAP) untuk mempercepat pencapaian target pembangunan agenda biru demi keseimbangan ekologi dan ekonomi Indonesia sesuai target RPJMN,” ucap Plt. Deputi Firman.
Krisis iklim disadari sebagai krisis yang sudah pasti terjadi dan mempengaruhi dunia. Pandemi COVID-19 mengajarkan bahwa penanganan krisis harus dilakukan secara utuh karena sifatnya multidimensi. Krisis iklim akan jauh lebih berdampak daripada COVID-19. Blue Economy menjadi keniscayaan untuk mengejar pertumbuhan ekonomi dalam pembangunan di masa depan khususnya Negara Berkembang Pulau Kecil (SIDS) yang bergantung pada laut.

Jakarta, InfoPublik - Kementerian Koordinator Bidang Kemaritiman dan Investasi Republik Indonesia (kemenko Marves RI) bekerja sama dengan Perserikatan Bangsa-Bangsa (PBB), Kementerian Kelautan dan Perikaman (KKP), dan Kementerian PPN/Bappenas meluncurkan National Blue Agenda Actions Partnership (NBAAP) di Bali, Senin (14/11/2022).
“Pertemuan itu sangat penting untuk mendukung upaya kita dalam melindungi laut. Keberhasilan kerja sama itu tidak hanya memberikan pengaruh besar bagi Indonesia, tapi juga secara global,” tutur Deputi Bidang Koordinasi Kedaulatan Maritim dan Energi, Kemenko Marves, Jodi Mahardi.
Peluncuran NBAAP tersebut pada rangkaian agenda Konferensi Tingkat Tinggi (KTT) G20 adalah hal yang tepat menurut Perwakilan PPB di Indonesia, Valerie Julliand. Dirinya mengatakan jika dipetakan, maka negara-negara anggota G20 merepresentasikan garis pantai di bumi.
